BEYOND THE SMOKE
It started as an idea that we never knew what it would become. It started as a simple idea to cook.
We started small and simple. Friends. Family. Learning what worked and what didn't work. We figured out how to make good food people genuinely looked forward to eating.
What started simple grew into something bigger than ourselves. It grew into a love for good BBQ, serving people, and bringing folks together around the table.
For us, Big Smoke Co. has never just been about selling food. We believe good food has a way of bringing people together. It turns ordinary days into memories, gives families reasons to sit down together, and creates opportunities to serve people well.
Eventually, the opportunity came to bring Big Smoke Co. to Hazlehurst. The Lord set it all up and gave us a place — a chance to bring new life to something the town already knows well.
We're proud to call Hazlehurst our home, and we want Big Smoke Co. to become a place Hazlehurst is proud of.
Our approach is simple: make real good food for real good people.
We don't take shortcuts. We want to serve food that we're proud to put our name on and treat every single person who walks up to our window with love and show them they matter.
None of this is possible without the Lord Jesus Christ. We built everything about this company around that fact. God has been so good to us, and we want this business to reflect that.
MEET THE OWNERS
Big Smoke Co. is owned and operated by JT and Candace Thompson.
What began as a simple love for cooking and serving people has grown into something our family never could have imagined.
We're a husband-and-wife team who believe this business is about more than BBQ. We want Big Smoke Co. to be a place where people are treated like they matter, families can enjoy good food together, and our community knows they're always welcome.
Above everything else, we're grateful to the Lord for every door He has opened and every person He has placed along the way. We consider it a privilege to serve Hazlehurst and the surrounding communities.
